Ways to stay Positive in work & Life

Most of us have days we would love to stay in bed, but we end up going to work or being around loved ones carrying the bad mojo with us.  Work is definitely a place where we want to be at our best. Our attitude makes all the difference in the world to co-workers and people we come in contact with daily.

Being positive can help in so many ways, it effects how people treat you and your relationships with family, friends and coworkers.  Being positive can make you a valuable asset at work and its contagious. Who doesn’t want to be around a happy person?

If you struggle with finding things to keep you positive, there are a couple things you can do. First keep a gratitude journal, write down daily things that you are grateful for and how they make you happy.  Some examples are family, life events, job and health.

Have something to look forward to, a date night with your spouse, girl’s night, time with family, vacation, or movie. Do not let the little things of the day bring you down.

Meditation and taking time for yourself is another way to stay positive. This will help you regroup and get your focus back when things get to be too much. You have to make sure you take care of your needs, it’s not always your job to fix everyone else the world does go on and we have no control over other people’s action.

Don’t engage in gossip, most gossip is false. Gossiping will make you feel bad about yourself and is hurtful to people for no good reason. We know our story, but don’t assume you know somebody else’s.

Lastly, sometimes something as simple as playing a song you love or looking at a picture of a loved one, will help you stay positive. Enjoy the little things. Imagine if we didn’t have that memory or that special person in our life, trips or adventurers, our job a home or a simple meal. We are blessed and we should smile because it could be way worse. Look at things in a positive light , this will cause good people to be drawn to you.
