BE KIND

Posted on March 19, 2020 in Firm News

With the invasion of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nevada, we want to remind you to be kind. In this new environment kindness is still needed. Reach out someone by calling them or emailing them to make sure that they are doing alright. Do not visit them. This is spreading quickly and by keeping a safe distance from neighbors and others you will ensure safety. If you need to go out in public make sure that you follow the six foot rule. Maintain six feet of distance between you and other people when possible.

Wash your hands when you come home from anywhere you have been. Use anti-bacterial hand gel when you cannot use soap and water. Small and simple precautions can help tremendously. When driving, be aware of your surroundings, you can still get ticketed for speeding and rightfully so. Don’t add to the frustration when slowing down could have prevented it in the first place.

Don’t hoard what you can live without. This is not going to last forever. If you come across an extra package of toilet paper let someone who really needs it have it. If you have extra cans of food, make sure that the people you know have what they need. Stop panicking and making others who truly need the items have nowhere to turn. The human response is survival, though you need to stop and inventory what you do have and not panic.

As Yoda, Jedi master says “Fear is the path to the dark side…fear leads to anger…anger leads to hate…hate leads to suffering.” Do not fear the unknown there is always a spot of light at the end of ever tunnel. This tunnel will open to a bright sky. Would you rather be known as nomad hoarder full of anger or someone who helped when you could by being kind?

Be kind, take a deep breath and know that things will work out.
